BuyTrade is the only multi-merchant online product finder and ordering platform.

Developed by the team behind TradeHelp, BuyTrade launched in 2022 to help heating engineers save time and money sourcing the products they require more efficiently.

Through our relationships with leading merchants and manufacturers, heating engineers can search from 1.6m products and view live stock data across 1,000 branches nationwide with a choice of collection and delivery options, all at competitive and consistent trade-only prices.

Select ‘My Account’ from the main menu. Ensure your company, address and contact details are entered and correct, then save. You can now start searching!

No, use of BuyTrade and the instant product finder is free for those genuinely using it with a view to purchasing products on the platform.

If you have a credit account with City Plumbing or Wolseley, you can link this credit account in your ‘My Account’ section. Once linked, you can select in the same section whether to use your credit account or credit/debit card as default payment for your purchases.  This can be changed at any time.

In your ‘My Account’ section, link your Merchant Account(s) with City Plumbing and/or Wolseley by selecting the ‘+ New Credit Account’ button. You will need to provide your account number, associated postcode, telephone number, and preferred branch.

For Wolseley account linking, once we receive your request we will contact Wolseley to action the link. This generally takes 2-3 working days.

For City Plumbing account linking, if the details provided match those held for you by City Plumbing, the account will link automatically. If you experience any problems just contact our team on 01978 666 888 for assistance.

Once you have linked a credit account you will be able to see the option in ‘My Account’ to choose whether to pay on that credit account (automatically selected once your account is linked) or alter this to pay instead by credit/debit card.

You can search via the main drop down menu or by Appliance, GC Number, Manufacturer Part Code or Keyword – and save Favourites as you go (by selecting the product star).

To add a product to your list of Favourites, simply click the star next to the product once you have found this through your search. Any products with a filled-in star will also appear in your Favourites list. To remove an item from Favourites, simply un-tick the star.

If an item you require is either obsolete or out of stock, our team will be happy to support you in sourcing that product. Once we have received your request we will respond to you within one hour (office hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm).

For obsolete items click the button confirming it is obsolete or the ‘?’ icon next to it. For out of stock items please select the ‘Request Product’ link in the details of available items. This will open a pop-up asking whether you wish us to assist you in sourcing that product.

Once requested, the item will appear in your Requested Products section, together with the date on which your request was made.

Yes. Our team will be happy to support you in sourcing any other products you are unable to find on the site, through our manual process.  Please contact us, sending details of your requirements to [email protected], via telephone on 01978 666 888 or through the contact form at and we will come back to you within 1 hour.  Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Gophr are a nationwide courier agency, specialising in same day product deliveries. We have links into their system so that you can opt to have available products delivered to you within as little as 90 minutes. These same day delivery options will show on your screen whenever they are available. Simply tick the relevant options and chose the delivery time and cost which best suits you.
